With an early start we can tour a cheese production in the Florence and Chianti area. Our driver will pick up from central Florence or another location of your choice, and he will take you to a cheese dairy where the Tuscan Pecorino is produced. At the dairy you will see the full production of this renowned cheese. The visit will start with the fresh milk being worked on the huge vats and turned into curds to be later on “squeezed” into cheese moulds. The visit will continue in the ageing cellars where the cheese is stored. Of course the tour will end with the tasting of the products.
Fiorentina and steak lunch.
Tuscany is particularly famous for its beef, and especially the Fiorentina is renowned in italy but also in the world. The beef typically comes from the Chianina breed, which are native free roaming cows of Tuscany. We will visit the famous poet butcher of Panzano in Chianti.
